Vet Care and Advice

Yii the cost! So I went in the local pet store, they never heard of wellness brand food but the sales lady directed me to a food called Eagle Pack that was $30 dollars for 6.6 lbs. Luckily it has a satisfaction guaranty so if she will not eat it I can bring it back. So far she is carefully ignoring the dish of it we put out. There was also some Furminators but only the ones for dogs, the sales lady said I could use the one for small dogs with long hair no problem but I looked at the price and carefully put it back. $80!!!! I looked online and will see if I can get an amazon card to grab one off there.

you can snag a Furminator off Amazon or even ebay for just over $20. ive never head of anyone selling Eagle Pack for more than double the retail price. D: if you have any other pet stores near you, try checking there. hell, it may be cheaper for you to buy the food online as well. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=Iog&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=Eagle+Pack+cat+food+6.6&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=

as for getting her to eat it, its always recommended that when you switch foods, you do it slowly. try offering 75% her current brand and 25% of the new stuff and slowly over the next week use less old stuff and more of the new stuff. this will get her used to it and prevent her from getting an upset stomach. good luck!

*Nods* Oh yes I will be mixing the food if I can get her to even eat it. She is a very picky cat, we went through about 5 brands before we found she would eat the stuffed morsels kind we have now.

The main issue with the cost is I live in a small town that is very far north so shipping costs are insane. Everything here costs 2 to 3 times what it does down in the US.
